We learn the information at first hand, and we are on friendly terms with children who have spent all their childhood next to the war.

For years, Huellitas has been a beacon of hope for the thousands of abused and abandoned animals in El Salvador, San Salvador. Huellitas rehabilitates tortured and abused animals that would normally be left to die. Today, that hope is in danger of being permanently closed!
They have recently lost a major source of funding, and as a result, they are facing an immediate threat of eviction due to unpaid rent. This isn’t just about a building; it’s about the dogs and cats currently under their care who have finally found safety, food, and love. All of the dogs and cats who live in Huellitas were rescued after being abused.
Alicia is one of three adults involved in this not-for-profit. Alicia is a mom of three whose life was positively impacted by animals and the unconditional love they provide. She is also a mental health provider who everyday sees the therapeutic impact animals have on both child and adult mental health.
Although not a pet owner, Diana believes in the power that animals have in teaching children and teenagers about empathy and caring for others.
Melissa is a bunny mom and graciously volunteers as one of our administrative advisors.
