For years, Huellitas has been a beacon of hope for the thousands of abused and abandoned animals in El Salvador, San Salvador. Huellitas rehabilitates tortured and abused animals that would normally be left to die. Today, that hope is in danger of being permanently closed! 
They have recently lost a major source of funding, and as a result, they are facing an immediate threat of eviction due to unpaid rent. This isn’t just about a building; it’s about the dogs and cats currently under their care who have finally found safety, food, and love. All of the dogs and cats who live in Huellitas were rescued after being abused. 
If they close, these animals—many of whom are still recovering from trauma or illness—will be displaced. In a country where public resources for animal welfare are critically strained, there are few other places for them to turn. 
We need to raise $1500 immediately to cover back rent and secure the facility for the coming 6 months.
